We had these pictures taken professionally of our new display at the Roth Living Showroom.
Our Goal with this display was to create a Very Contemporary Kitchen with an Industrial feel, and we decided to use reclaimed wood for the island along with Raw Steel components. So we call this our Industrial Contemporary Kitchen.
This Kitchen features High Gloss White Painted Cabinetry with built-in Sub Zero Refrigeration, 2 hidden pantry doors and it is filled with the latest Sub Zero / Wolf products.
The oven wall features recessed finger pulls on the drawers so no cabinet handles are needed and to contrast we used tab pulls on the oven cabinets to show another minimal handle option, we are seeing an increasing number of clients that don’t want handles or they want very minimal handles. The hidden pantry door doesn’t even need a handle because they open in and stay open with a magnet catch. The upper cabinets have doors that are covered with raw steel and we ran the grain horizontal on the center door to add texture.
The Island features reclaimed barn wood with a vertical grain application and raw steel components, the handles were custom-made from the same steel as well. It also has a lot of drawer storage and a couple of pull out spice cabinets.
The Pantry features Textured Melamine Cabinetry with Horizontal Grain. We also used floating shelving instead of just putting in standard upper cabinets to give this Pantry a Modern feeling to go with this Contemporary Kitchen. On the sink wall we used a tubular Stainless Steel handle to give a third option for cabinet handle styles for a Contemporary Kitchen.
This display also features a custom-built Steel Ventilation Hood and a custom Barn Door to an adjacent storage room.
I’ve never received as much positive response from a new display as I have from this display in such a short time, I guess it’s a sign of the times. Our design preferences are sure changing fast and I’m grateful to be working with clients and designers who are on the cutting edge of design in our area.
