A Transitional White Kitchen with a Dark Cherry Wood Island

1 Cutter Kitchen RemodelBelow is a before picture of this Kitchen. It is the old standard Knotty Alder Park City Kitchen.

2 Cutter before picIn our first meeting this homeowner asked me about the possibility of re-facing this Kitchen with new doors, panels and moldings. The best thing I could do for her was to recommend a whole new Kitchen that would update the finishes while updating the design as well.

If you are updating flooring, countertops, appliances and cabinet fronts it only makes sense to replace the cabinets as well because the cost difference is minimal and you can usually get a much better design that is way more functional.

3 Cutter Kitchen drawers

We were able to increase the countertop space and have all of these drawers by re-locating the range. This also created a nice focal point in the Kitchen.

4 Cutter Island Legs

It was a bold move to put this large of an island in this Kitchen, but they agreed to if after deciding to put the dinning table in the former family room.

6 Cutter Fireplace wall

We built some matching cabinets for the fireplace wall of the old family room. I love how they are now using this space as the dinning room.

5 Cutter Island

I love the Stainless Steel Apron Front Sink in the island, we also tucked the microwave away in the island. Between the sink and the microwave we have double pull out trash cans for garbage and recycling.

In the end the homeowner told me that this Kitchen Remodel turned out better than she ever imagined. Kitchen Design is a very rewarding job!
